I get up at an ungodly hour so I can be at work at 6am. Really, it's just dreadful. I only do it because I like to be able to pick my little children up after school and if I get to work before the crack of dawn, I'm able to do just that. It's a nice trade off for the most part, but I do believe that I can offer this advice to anyone in a similar situation: If you believe, at 4:30am, that your hair looks hot and sexy? Let me just promise you. It doesn't.
I try to be really quiet when I get up because I don't want to wake up my husband or the children. I don't care if I wake up the dog because she gets to sleep during the day. Also, if I am making sandwiches for the kids she enjoys a spoonful of peanut butter in the morning, so she doesn't mind either.
This morning, though, as I was turning the lights off and almost out the door when I heard, "Baby?"
It was Jason, standing bleary-eyed in the hallway.
"Did I wake you up? I'm sorry."
"No, you didn't wake me up," he replied. "I just wanted to say something to you."
Okay. I looked at him expectantly.
He then RAN TOWARD ME at full-speed while shrieking "WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
I'm not kidding.
Then he held his hand up to high-five me and said, "TEN YEARS! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
I met him ten years ago today.
I had no idea he would remember.
I hope he didn't wake the children up.

That Jason is so darn cute, not only does my husband not have a clue the day we met but neither do I. That is very cool!!!
I think that would be an okay reason to wake the kids!
Congrats!
If this was facebook, I'd 'like' it!
So completely AWESOME!
:)
What a great day to remember! Dave proposed to me 9 years ago today. Today is definitely a good day for happiness!
It must be that time of the year. Hubby and I celebrated our 18th first date anniversary and 13th wedding anniversary yesterday. (Yes, we got married on the same date).
That made me smile.

I second the WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :)
Hope that made your morning. :-)
From every single person that has ever struggled to get through the rough patches and actually make their marriage work.....Thank you so much for this post!! It actually made me laugh out loud with tears in my eyes...because ironically I had just been trying to get my own husband to understand that what I was trying to get him to do was UNDERSTAND my feelings...not judge, just understand.
KEEP HIM!!
