Me: Yes.
Little Girl: You are BEAUTIFUL.
Me: Why, thank you!
Little Girl: You are MUCH MORE BEAUTIFULER than my mom!
Me, glancing sideways at Little Girl's very large and very disgruntled looking mom: Oh, no I wouldn't say that.
(Did not say, "I wouldn't say that OR SHE'LL STAB ME". As I've mentioned before, I'm no fool)
Little Girl: But you are! You are much, much, much, MUCH-
Little Girl's mom: SHANAYNAY! LET'S GO!
Little Girl, after a moment's pause: You are MUCH nicer than my mom too!
Little Girl's mom: NOW SHANAYNAY!
Little Girl, conspiratorily: See?
Me: Um...see you later, honey.
