And you know what? I'm freaking LOVING IT.
For the first time in many, many moons nothing in my life is insanely insane. I go to work and it's going okay. I'm working on edits to my next book (the title of which pretty much HAS to include something along the lines of "The Worst Love Story of all Time", by the way). My kids are healthy and happy and wonderfully bright and starting seventh grade today. Jason is working hard, making me laugh every day, and has recently decided to drag out his Total Gym (Chuck Norris not included) to get some exercise. I didn't even protest when he placed it in the living room of our already too small house, as it has already provided a great deal of hilarity to me since the Boy Child wants to "bulk up".
Every evening we take the Ginger on long, sweaty walks. We have dinner together every night and we pray before we eat, a little child's prayer probably, but it works:
We thank the Lord, for happy hearts
For rain and sunny weather
We thank the Lord, for this our food
And that we are together
If you only like me in crisis mode, stick around. I'm sure I'll have one any minute now.
But for now, for today, everything is just normal. Ordinary. Boring.
And I love it so bad.

First - love the prayer. I have never hear that one, but we may have to use it.
Second - Normal, Ordinary, Boring are my favorite ways to be. Sounds like you have found a little bit of peace and you deserve it.

I'm glad for you! Yay.
My family ALWAYS sang grace growing up, and that was one of the prayers we sang! Love that you say it too.
cherish ordinary and boring because it doesn't ever last as long as we need it to :)
Boring is most awesome!
