A very serious election day post

My phone rings pretty much constantly. It is a part of my life that I have grown to reluctantly accept. I'm not as good on the phone as I am in email. I'm great in email. Except when I'm not. But I don't like to talk about those times.

Anyway, I've had a huge influx of calls lately from the political candidates/people who support said political candidates/people who are against said political candidates/stalkers, which is not surprising. It's annoying, but it's not surprising.

Yesterday, during a particularly tough day at the office, I got nineteen political calls, not including the two auto-dialed calls from someone claiming to be Paul Ryan. So he says.

Eighteen for one candidate.
One for the other.

Generally I just ignore those calls, but yesterday I told every single person I talked to that I was voting for the other guy. This one time I said, "I'm voting for the other guy. HA HA!" Just like Nelson on the Simpsons.

Oh, and one of the callers was told that I was under eighteen and therefore couldn't vote, but that I would love to tell her everything I knew about Jesus. She hung up on me. I guess she doesn't like Jesus.

This concludes my very serious election day post.

Thank you.

My BF says he likes to keep them on the phone to waste their money. I say if you get a good laugh out of it by talking about Jesus, it's not a waste of money. :-)
