Seriously. Why are so many people like this?

I've had nearly the exact same conversation with at least four different people this week. Also? None of the people I've had this conversation with are two years old. Amazing.

Me: We will be sending you this information in XYZ format.
Them: What?! Why?!?
Me: That's the only format the information is available in. That is the only format which is compatible with the product you are using.
Them: What?! WHY?!!? I don't want it in that format!

Them: Well! I had a meeting last week and everyone in the meeting said they don't want it in that format!

Them: Well, can't you just email it to me?
Me: Sorry, no. It has to come in XYZ format. That's the only format it's available in.
Them: Well, I just don't understand why I can't get it emailed.
Me: It's not available to email. It's only available in XYZ format.
Them: But what if I want it emailed?
Me: I'm sorry. It's not available to email. It's only available in XYZ format. That is the only format which is compatible with the product you are using.
Them: Well, no one is going to be happy about this. I can tell you that much!
Me: I'm sorry to hear that, however, it will work with the product you are using, so hopefully they will be pleased when they see it works.
Them: Hey! Can you send it in ABC format?
Me: It's only avaliable in XYZ format. ABC format would not be compatible with the product you are using.
Them: That is just ridiculous! I don't know why you don't have it in ABC format!
Me: Sorry, we don't. It's just in XYZ format.
Them: Well, will you EVER get it in ABC format? Because it's just ridiculous that I can't get it in ABC format!
Me: I know of no plans to offer this information in ABC format. That would not be compatible with the product you are using.
Them: I've worked with a lot of companies like yours over the years and they've ALL provided me this information in ABC format!
Me: Sorry, but we don't. We only have XYZ format.
Them: Well, is there someone above you that you can check with?
Me: I confirmed earlier today with the department that provides the information that the only format the information is available in is XYZ format.
Them: Well, that just doesn't sound right to me. You can't even EMAIL it to me?
Me: No, sorry. It's not available for email.
Them: Ridiculous!

Me (thinking, but not saying): YES YOU ARE.
