Romance. Or some crap.

"We have to hug for twenty seconds every day," Jason informed me last night.

"Excuse me?"

"I saw it on Fox News," he said. As though that was enough to make me say, "Oh, well since it was Fox News. By all means!"

"You saw what on Fox News?" I said, cringing slightly.

"I dunno," he said, dismissively. "Something about hugging and how it helps release hormones."

"Endorphins?" I guessed.

"That's what I said," he agreed. "And I remember they said you had to hug for twenty seconds."

"What else did they say?"

"I don't know. But they did say you had to hug for twenty seconds. I remember that clearly."

"Let's give it a shot."

He enveloped me with his big arms and I lay my head on his chest. It was nice. Really nice. After a few moments I stepped back and smiled at him.

"That was twenty five and 1/2 seconds!" he told me.

"YOU WERE COUNTING?!?!?"

"Well...I just wanted to make sure we got to twenty."

"Jason. For the love of God."

This is marriage. Day 2625.

LOVE it! I can see how 20 seconds of contact with the hubby would be good, but somehow him timing it over your shoulder takes something away from it.

hahahaha - I love that - and I think it's sweet (I confess if my man started a sentence with "i saw it on fox news..." I would already be thinking "then we aren't going to do whatever it is..." ha and then I'd have to cave because I love hugging.)

I heard somewhere and tell everyone "you need three meaningful touches every day to be healthy."

Shhh, don't tell Jason. Cause BH says that 'meaningful' is open to interpretation.
