Today? Three of my friends gave me this:
I'M NOT KIDDING.
I have wanted a Kitchenaid mixer for like...ever. I had seriously just told some friends yesterday that I was going to set aside a little money every month until I could afford one. YESTERDAY.
My friends had apparently had the same idea and had been saving little bits of money every single month for a year. So they could give me this.
As I unpacked the box? I kept saying over and over, "I cannot believe I own this. I cannot believe this beautiful thing is mine." Someday it will be my daughter's. I cannot believe it.
The most amazing gift, though, is that three women, who didn't even know I existed in the world three years ago, would love me so much that they would give me such an amazing gift. That they would give me their friendship and love every day of my life. Even when I don't deserve it. Even when I'm sure I drive them crazy.
I don't deserve it. I don't deserve them.
But I am so thankful. For them. For their friendship.
And I am so making them cookies.

This is an awesome gift! I got an orange one last year for Christmas, and I love it. I don't have a daughter to pass mine down to, but I do have several nieces who should probably be in competition for it! :)

Dammit, I want one of these! I'm getting one for Christmas from my mom, but I'm impatient. I totally want the pink one, but I think hubby will refuse to use it. Which, maybe is a good thing.

Girlfriend do NOT get me started on the Boy Child's lack of hair. He and Jason got the big idea that they should look alike. I could kill both of them.

I love those mixers, I got rid of mine when I moved...but I miss it. I literally almost wore it out, and you will find that it is AMAZING.

I have a decent standing mixer my MIL gave me. It's not as awesome as a KitchenAid, but pretty close.
It sits beneath the cabinet sobbing that no one loves it.
And, it's not pink.
