I hate being sick.

But I am.

I was supposed to go to the gynecologist today. (Sorry, I probably should have warned that this is a massive over share. My apologizes) For my annual exam and to talk about if I need a mammogram again and oh, and also? To see if there is anything possible at all that I can do to get pregnant.

I have very little hope that this will ever happen, mind you. It's a very, very, very long and complicated story and I really don't want to get into it (especially not now while my head weighs about 200lbs), but yeah.

I'm thirty-four in four days.

It's pretty much now or never.

I'm thinking never. But I'm humoring everyone here.

everyone goes to the gyno, everyone with a vag*na that is. No big deal. If you want another baby, I hope that you can have one and that he/she is very healthy. I also hope you feel better!

My doctor did the following steps:
1. HSG Test - to test openness of fallopian tubes. This was mildly painful.
2. Clomid - a fertility drug taken monthly, followed up with bloodwork.

When #2 didn't work, I went to a specialist who told me I had to lose 10% of my body weight before she would treat me. In that respect, you're ahead of the game. So keep rocking that weight loss. I'm right there with you.

Feel better soon! I recently had the flu and it sucked. Hope your recovery is quick.

About the baby thing, I live in Ktown as well and also have PCOS. I'm also trying to make a baby (#1) and it's not happened yet.

However, I will say that if you've never been to see Dr. Doody (is he your doctor?), he's a great gyno for PCOS and fertility issues. Love that practice and my friends who have PCOS have all had great experiences there.

34 is not nearly too old to have a little one. Several ladies around my office are having them in to the 40's . Never say never... and be careful what you ask for.. YOU MIGHT JUST GET IT!

I didn't have my first until I was 40- there's still plenty of time!

I hope you get that baby!

Peace.

I always get sick just before I have to go to the GYN ... no joke ... every year, without fail. not the flu or anything too serious, just allergies or a cold so that I'm coughing and sneezing my head off. I always warn my GYN (because I love her dearly) to put on her safety goggles in case I sneeze and ... well ... you get the picture ;0)

good luck on the pregnancy. I went to my doc after TTC my last child (10 years ago). as soon as I had all the apointments made and the fertility treatment of choice lined up, viola! I was preggars!

Stephanie, I was 42 when my Littleman was born.

Just get to a good fertility doctor to make sure there is nothing physically preventing you. Then they will go from there. But 34? You are in no way too old.

My only complaint? He's five now and TOTALLY kicking my butt in the energy department. We love him dearly and feel blessed to hear those little feet running around the house!

Hope you get some good answers from your doc. I had PCOS and had a really hard time getting pregnant, so I remember the pain of feeling like it will never happen. Hope you feel better soon, too!!!!

I had my girl at 40, nearly 41. It took some major drugs which kicked my ass and my pocket book (credit card!!), but it was worth it. It didn't work out for us the traditional way, but if a few drugs is what it took? It was so worth it. Explore all of your options. Oh, and my first was born when I was just a couple weeks shy of 36, too. Girl, you are young!!! But I understand the infertility rollercoaster. I about lost my mind. I'm around if you ever want to chat about it.
